(LAS VEGAS, Nev) – NASCAR Champion's Week in Las Vegas will kick off on Wednesday, Dec. 4, with a free fanfest at the Third Street Stage at the Fremont Street Experience. This will be the first event of Champion’s Week involving all 13 Chase drivers, including 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson.

The free-to-the-public fanfest, hosted by Las Vegas Motor Speedway, will run from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and the drivers will walk a red carpet through the crowd en route to the stage.

The highlight of the fanfest will be a Deal or No Deal-type on-stage game show involving the 13 Chase drivers. The game show will be hosted by ESPN’s Jamie Little and Kim Coon, Miss Sprint Cup. Two fans will be chosen from the crowd by Sprint to participate on stage with the drivers. One lucky fan also will be selected via LVMS social media. The grand prize for the fan participants will be free tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series awards ceremony on Friday, Dec. 6.

New this year is the Legends Chat, featuring 1999 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Dale Jarrett and legendary NASCAR team owner Leonard Wood of the famed Wood Brothers. Wood, who fielded winning cars for David Pearson, Cale Yarborough and Jarrett – to name just a few – was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2013. Jarrett will join him there in 2014.

The fanfest, which is sponsored by Boyd Gaming, Sprint and Coca-Cola, also will include NASCAR show cars, an LVMS ticket booth and souvenir vendors.

At 4:30 p.m., country music star Joe Diffie (“John Deere Green,” “Third Rock From The Sun”) will kick off the Fremont Street Experience’s Downtown Hoedown with a free concert on the First Street Stage.
