Holley, a 6-foot-1, 220-pound junior from Las Vegas, Nev. (Centennial HS), tallied nine tackles – seven solo – broke up a pass and intercepted two passes in the Thunderbirds’ 22-14 win at then No. 8 Montana State on Saturday. His first interception ended a Bobcat drive in the second quarter while the second led to what was essentially the Thunderbirds’ winning touchdown. He picked off the second pass in the fourth quarter at the MSU 27-yard line and returned it to the 18, setting up a short touchdown drive that gave the Thunderbirds a 22-7 advantage.
This is Holley’s second player of the week honor and the seventh of the season for the T-Birds. He also earned recognition from ROOT Sports and the Big Sky following the win over Fort Lewis in the second week of the season.
