(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah is pleased to announce the selection of the newest homeowner partners, Candice Nay, Ivala & Melinda Falaniko, and Patty Christensen. These three families will be the 19th, 20th, and 21st homeowners partnering with Habitat, in Washington County.

The 19th and 20th homes were previously owned properties that are being rehabilitated by Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah. Financial support for the rehabilitation of Candice’s home (house #19) came from Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, the Washington County Board of Realtors, Color Me Rad, Wells Fargo and the ReStore. The 21st home will be a new construction as a Women’s Build. Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah will be partnering with Lowe’s and with generous contributions from local businesses and individuals, and volunteer labor by their families and community members.

The Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah Family Selection Committee reviewed many applications, evaluating each based on ability to repay a 0% mortgage loan, willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity, and level of need for safe and stable housing.

The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the home located at 346 S 200 E, Washington City, on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 4:30 pm. The ceremony will include remarks from Habitat for Humanity of Southwest Utah, the Nay family, and two sponsors; Coldwell Banker and Washington County Board of Realtors.
