(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - Doug Crandall passed away on October 30, 2013 in St. George, Utah. He was born October 3, 1921 in Helena, Montana to William V. and Avis B. Crandall.

Doug married Helen Doggett and together they had two children, Jay Crandall and Paige Crandall. Helen preceded him in death. In 1978, he married Patricia Price.

Upon graduating from Butte High in 1940, he enlisted in the US Air Force, serving in the Pacific Arena until 1945. Doug was a proud member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge #5, Montana; and El Kalah Shrine and Scottish Rite in Salt Lake City, Utah. Doug enjoyed his career in insurance through Capital Life and Ideal National, stating that he felt honored to help others plan for financial security and family safety.

Doug’s greatest joy was the years married to Patricia Price Crandall. A love between the two of them that, he stated, lasted every day, until today and forever in his heart. They enjoyed playing golf, their many friends, wonderful son Scotty (who was like his own son) and Paige. It has been an honor to have such parents.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Crandall; children, Paige Crandall and Scott Price; and wonderful grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Dustin, and Brooke and all their families. He is preceded in death by his son, Jay Crandall.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Emeritus Cliff View Assisted Living, 134 W. 2025 South Circle, St. George, UT.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, (435) 673-2454. Friends and family are invited to sign Doug’s guestbook at www.spilsburymortuary.com.
