Rose Luree Bentley Page completed her earthly mission and returned to her Heavenly Father on October 17, 2013 at home, with her husband of 63 years and family members by her side. She was born May 15, 1932 in Cedar City, Utah, to Clyde Gillins and Mary Belle Bulloch Bentley. She was the second of seven children.

She attended grade school and high school in Cedar City. She met Garn Orton Page from Parowan during high school and they were married January 25, 1950 in the St. George Temple. Seven children blessed this union: Leland, Kathy, Dorian, Annette, Jackie, Sylvia (deceased) and John. Employment took them to various states, with the majority of their years in Las Vegas, Nevada and Parowan Utah.

Rose’s greatest love and achievement was her extensive family. She sacrificed much to see that her children were cared for with the necessities and opportunities for growth and success.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in a great variety of callings in all the auxiliaries, particularly enjoying many years as Young Women Camp Director and in the scouting program. She was a faithful visiting teacher, serving until the last month. Garn and she served as missionaries in the Nuevo Laredo Mexico Mission. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are beneficiaries of her testimony of the Gospel through her example of faith, commitment and dedicated service.

Rose was energetic, hard working and ambitious. She was blessed with opportunities to work in a variety of professions, including many years of self-employment. A talent she enjoyed immensely was gardening and growing a great variety of flowers and vegetables. Rose had a strong will, courage and a can-do attitude that has been a blessing to her and her family in good times as well as the challenging times in her life.

She is survived by her husband; children Leland (Silvia), Kathy (Rick) Hunsaker, Dorian (Joyce), Annette (Del) Hulet, Jackie (Randy) Klein and John (Louise); 39 grandchildren and 129 great-grandchildren; brothers John and Don Bentley, sisters Dorothy Orton and Georgia Prisbrey. She is preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter Sylvia Marie; granddaughter Marisa Page and grandson Jesse Klein; sisters Belva Prisbrey and Linda Milliken.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26, 2103 at 11:00 a.m. in the 4th Ward Chapel at 90 South Main Street in Parowan. Visitation will be Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the 4th Ward Chapel. Interment will be at the Parowan Cemetery following the funeral under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be made at www.sumortuary.com.

The family expresses sincere and heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Erik Gulbrandsen and Intermountain Hospice, particularly Bonnie, Jeremiah and Becky who attended Rose so faithfully throughout her illness with exceptional love and care.
