(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - Don't forget to make a note on your family calendar for the Tonaquint Nature Center's Fall Festival & Pumpkin Alley. The annual event is set for Monday, October 28 from 5-7 pm. This is great family outing for the whole family to enjoy together. General admission is free. The only costs involved are $1 per craft and 25 cents per bag of monster boogers.

Kids can test their skills with our new carnival games, Eyeball Squirt, Witches Brew Toss, Swampy River Run and more! They can also make their own monster boogers (25 cents per bag), have their fortune told to them by the amazing Zelda the Fortune Teller, investigate at Dr. Jekyll’s Halloween mad laboratory, participate in the family scavenger hunt on the trails around the nature center and make a Halloween theme craft ($1/craft). The Black Cat face painting and tattoo parlor will be staffed by the Hairitage Hair Academy and they will be busy with free face painting and tattoos throughout the event.

At 6:30 pm, prizes will be given out to the top pumpkin decorators in the pumpkin alley contest! Bring your best pre-decorated pumpkin (carved and non-carvers) to the event before 6:30 pm. All pumpkin submissions MUST be created by the individual that is submitting the pumpkin. Prizes will be awarded to the 2 best decorators in each of the age categories. A big thank you to Lin’s Marketplace, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Learning Express and Hairitage Hair Academy for their support.

For more information about the event’s activities you may call the St. George Recreation Center at 627-4560 or visit St George City’s website at www.sgcityrec.org. The Tonaquint Nature Center is located within the Tonaquint Park at 1851 South Dixie Drive in St George.
