(HURRICANE, Utah) - Edward Ernest Pitt returned to his loving Heavenly Father October 1, 2013. Ed passed away unexpectedly at his home in Hurricane, Utah. Ed was born January 14, 1947 in Lovell, Wyoming, to Ernest Pitt and Vida Asay. Ed was the youngest of seven children, born under meager and humble circumstances and that is the way he left this earth.

Ed was a jack-of-all trades. He could fix, grow and do anything he set his mind to. He taught himself and trained himself to work as a respiratory therapist in hospitals in Coos Bay, Oregon, San Francisco, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and finally in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also worked as a maintenance worker for the Hylton Hotels and other various companies. His last job that he had was grounds keeper and supervisor for a girls academy in Hawaii.

Ed had an incredible mind, but with that came restlessness and un-settlement. Ed did so much to help his family from fixing cars, appliances and construction. His humor, smile and beautiful blue eyes and "wild child disposition" will truly be missed by all.

Ed is preceded in death by his sister and friend Myrna Raisbeck, brother Wallace, brother-in-law William C. Boer, and his loving angel mother. Survived by his sisters, Roberta Dunsmore, Hurricane, Utah; Patsy Olson, Heber, Utah; Janet Boer, Preston, Idaho; Mary Dee Cox, St. George, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in Heber, Utah where Ed will be laid to rest next to his mother.
