(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - The St. George Dance Company (SGDC) will perform in collaboration with the Southwest Symphony in their Spooktacular on October 25th at 7:30pm in the Cox Auditorium. This delightful concert offers tantalizing music of the season and invites concert goers to wear their favorite costume. SGDC will perform clever dance movement to the ghostly musical selections played live by the symphony. Summer Belnap Robertson, Artistic Director of SGDC, stated, “This concert is open to people of all ages. It’s really a great opportunity to share your love of orchestral music and dance with your children and grandchildren.”

The St. George Dance Company is southern Utah’s only professional modern dance group. SGDC has been recognized for the high-quality work it produces and the contributions it continues to make towards the southern Utah artistic community. SGDC uses humor and the unexpected to energize, entertain and engage all dance audiences. “This fall season is shaping up to be one of our best,” Robertson says. “We have the strongest dancers in the area, which include dance faculty members from Dixie State University, Southern Utah University, Desert Edge Dance and Vista Charter School for the Performing Arts.”

An audition was held in the beginning of September, and the following dancers were selected as company members. Principal Dancers: Camille Bahoravitch, Casside Edmunds, Jennie Jones and Micadyn Sanders. Core Dancers: Michelle Brown, Katherine Call, Lexie Corbett, Bethany Gee, Jennie Grimes, Denise Purvis, Rebekah Wainright, Jessica Wester and J. Daniel Woodstock.

The St. George Dance Company will also perform at the upcoming Jubilee of Trees and Dickens Festival. For more information and SGDC’s complete fall performance schedule, visit saintgeorgedance.com or call 435-773-1221. To purchase tickets for the Spooktacular visit dsutix.com.
