    (SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) - Utah State Parks is seeking one individual interested in representing the interests of bicyclists on the Utah Recreational Trails Advisory Council (URTAC). Council members are appointed to a four year term by Utah State Parks Board members.

    URTAC reviews requests for matching fiscal assistance funding for non motorized trail projects throughout Utah and provides recommendations to the Division and the Utah State Parks Board on trail issues.

    The ten member council also includes individuals representing the interests of hikers, equestrians, cross-country (Nordic) skiers, Utah League of Cities and Towns, Utah Association of Counties, USDA Forest Service, USDI Bureau of Land Management and USDI National Park Service. The council also includes one member at large who represents the interest of non motorized trail users in general.
