(PORTLAND, Ore) – Senior quarterback Griff Robles (Spanish Fork, UT/Spanish Fork) has been named a repeat winner of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference/Red Lion Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts leading the Dixie State University football team to an impressive 39-12 win over Simon Fraser on Saturday.

Robles had more than 400 yards in total offense for the second week in a row leading the Red Storm. He finished with a GNAC season-high 427 yards, rushing for 176 yards and completing 13 of 27 passes for 251 yards.

The signal caller contributed six touchdowns, scoring on runs of 15 in the first quarter and 34 in the third quarter. He tossed four TD passes - nine yards to Randon Willard in the opening period, 11 to tight end Joe Don Duncan and seven to Willard in the second quarter and 48 to Duncan in the third period.

The outstanding performance came on the heels of a 411 total-yard, six-touchdown performance against Humboldt State on Sept. 26.

Through five games, Robles has thrown for 1,324 yards during which he had completed 57 percent of his passes (114-220). He has 14 passing touchdowns and just three interceptions. Robles paces the DSU rushing totals with 339 yards on 70 carries (five TDs).

Robles and the Red Storm travel to Tomlinson Stadium this Saturday, Oct. 12, for a tough GNAC contest with Central Washington, one of the co-leader in the league with one loss. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. Pacific (2 p.m. Mountain).
