    (SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) - Activities at Utah State Parks for October 5th - 30th:

    October 5 – 30 Willard Bay State Park South Marina – Willard

    Fright Lights: Join us from 6 to 10 p.m., (closed Sunday) at the Willard Bay South Marina for a drive through light park, hay bale maze, laser tag alley, hay jump, free pumpkins for ages 12 and younger and concessions. Cost is $5 for ages 3-12 and $6 for 13 and older. 435-734-9494

    October 17 – 20 Fremont Indian State Park and Museum – Sevier

    Free Camping and Day-Use: Visitors can enjoy free camping and day-use while a camera crew films footage for a new park orientation video. 435-527-4631

    October 17 – 23 Frontier Homestead State Park Museum- Cedar City

    Haunted Homestead: Join us for a week of spooky celebrations beginning with More Than Ghost Stories- paranormal investigations at the Hunter House Thursday, October 17 at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., learn pumpkin carving skills from a master pumpkin carver. Admission is $1.50 per person. Take a tour of the cemetery Tuesday, October 22 at 7 p.m., and learn about the interesting headstones and stories in the graveyard. Admission is free. Wednesday, October 23 from 7 to 9 p.m., enjoy stories by candlelight. Treats provided. Admission is $1.50 per person. 435-586-9290

    October 18 Antelope Island State Park – Syracuse

    Full Moon Kayak Tour: Join us from 7 to 9 p.m., (weather permitting) on a guided kayak tour under the light of the full moon. Space is limited and registration is required. Kayak rentals are available from Gonzo Boat Rentals and Tours by calling 801-698-6288. Dress for the cool temperatures. antelopeisland.utah.gov

    October 18 Dead Horse Point State Park - Moab

    Full Moon Hike: Join us at 7 p.m., for a guided hike as we watch the sunset light change to night and discuss the nocturnal wildlife in the park. 435-259-2614

    October 19 Dead Horse Point State Park - Moab

    Carving Canyons: Join us at 1 p.m., for a look into the canyons and a discussion on how these formations were created. 435-259-2614

    October 19 Antelope Island State Park - Syracuse

    Halloween Program: Join us for a fun evening at 6:30 p.m., to learn about spooky animals, enjoy a Halloween Sing-a-Long and tasty treats. Entrance fees apply. RSVP requested. 801-721-9569
