    (ST. GEORGE, Utah) - Henry Minchey our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle passed away peacefully in his own home of natural causes on Sept 3, 2013 in Washington, Ut at age 83. He was born January 26, 1930 in Sweets Mine, UT to Lester June Minchey and Alice LaVon Carlow Minchey.

    Henry joined the US Military services at a very young age served in WWII with an honorable discharge in May 1948. He is a lifetime member of The American Legion post 112. After proudly serving our country, he married Shawna McFarlane and had three children Jolene (Bruce) Sharp, Rex (Joy) Minchey, Bill (Janet) Minchey, and later divorced.

    He found the love of his life Lynetta J Taylor they married in Las Vegas, NV on April 17, 1967 having two children Laura Long and Lynetta Martindale.

    He was a successful business owner of many businesses in his life time. He enjoyed car racing and was a race car driver for many years. After retirement, his hobbies included road trips and spending time with his family.

    Henry is preceded in death by brother; Lester Von Minchey and 1 great grandchild.

    He is survived by wife; Lynetta, brothers; Jack (Zelma) Minchey, Mark (Verda) Minchey, sister; LynnAnn (Gary) Wilson, his 5 children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Memorial services will be Monday Sept 9, 2013 at 2 pm at the Pineview Mortuary 566 North Mall Drive St George, UT 435-986-4222

    you know its a dam shame the way this family is treating tonya grandpa is most likely rolling over in his grave not to menchin noone had the respect to let me know he passed away sad. i love you grandpa an i will allways have you in my hart.
