(SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) – Following allegations that Mark Shurtleff’s relationship with developer Mark Robbins has potentially compromised the Attorney General’s Office investigation into a Draper Frontrunner development deal, Utah Democratic Party Executive Director Matt Lyon issued the following statement:

“There is pattern of abuses and a culture of questionable ethical behavior that is paralyzing our executive branch and preoccupying our state government. The Shurtleff/UTA allegations are the latest in a long chain that has resulted in, among other things, the AG’s office recusing itself from a high-profile fraud case. Utah Democrats are seriously concerned about the erosion of public trust, and the potential long-term impact this will continue to have for our state’s government.”
