(MESQUITE, Nev) - This Friday, Aug. 30th through Sunday, Sept. 1st at CasaBlanca Resort in Mesquite where Prime-cut meats, poultry and rib connoisseurs from around the world are heating up for the 2013 Smokin’ in Mesquite BBQ. Chefs will compete in various categories, including chicken, ribs, pork and brisket, for a shot at the $40,000 purse.
The weekend begins on Friday with team registration and judging classes. The cooking competition begins on Saturday, complete with the opening of the beer garden, live DJ, BBQ food and college football action. The festivities conclude on Sunday with People’s Choice Awards at 3 p.m. and BBQ awards ceremony at 6 p.m. in the CasaBlanca Showroom.
