  • Male subject arrested for Evading Police

    (HURRICANE, Utah) - At approximately 11:00 PM on Thursday August 22, 2013, an Officer from the Hurricane City Police Department was aware that a male subject, Boyd Brooke had a warrant for his arrest and observed him operating a motor vehicle. The Officer observed that Boyd made multiple traffic violations and initiated a traffic stop. Boyd failed to stop the vehicle and lead officers on a short pursuit along SR 9 and onto 6300 West State. A female was in the vehicle and allegedly was pushed out as it slowed down to make a turn. The female was not injured. The vehicle continued and went off the roadway, through a fence and was high centered on several rocks. The driver fled the vehicle on foot and was apprehended by other assisting Officers from the Washington County Drug Task Force.

    Officers found the vehicle that Boyd was driving was reported stolen out of Washington City.

    Boyd was arrested and booked on several charges.
