(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - Dixie Regional Medical Center’s Sports Performance Training and Sports Medicine programs are partnering with the St. George Running Center and the City of St. George to offer ideas, training and expertise to interested runners and athletes at a free presentation on Aug. 6 at 6 p.m.

This is part of a series of free runners’ lectures and will take place at the Sports Performance Training gym on the lower level of the Dixie Regional Health & Performance Center, located at 652 S. Medical Center Drive in St. George.

The lecture will be led by Dr. Robert Andruss, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with many years of experience in treating sports related injuries. Dr. Andruss will focus on ways to minimize injuries during endurance races, including how to prevent “runner’s knee.” There will also be a question and answer period.
