Public comments on potential improvements to the Parowan Gap site will help the BLM determine relevant issues that should be addressed and analyzed in the environmental assessment (EA) that will be prepared later this year. A draft design illustrating possible new trails, a relocated parking lot, construction of a shade structure and a new public bathroom is available for review at the Cedar City Field Office (see address below) and online at: http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en/fo/cedar_city.html.
Written comments will be accepted until July 25, 2013. Please note that the most useful comments are those that identify issues relevant to the draft design. Comments which contain only opinions or preferences will not receive a formal response, but may be considered in the BLM planning process. Please reference the "Parowan Gap Visitor Site Design" when submitting comments.
