    (ST. GEORGE, Utah) - The Washington County Board of Education announced the selection of Sharla Campbell as the new Principal of Dixie High School. Sharla will replace Larry Bergeson who was selected as the Washington County School District Superintendent.

    Sharla Campbell was born in Cedar City, Utah. She earned a B.A. and M.Ed from Southern Utah University, as well as an Elementary Education endorsement. She began her career in education as a part-time Language Arts teacher at Dixie High 22 years ago. Following that first teaching assignment, Sharla went on to teach Business courses and serve as Staff Developer. She has been Assistant Principal at Dixie High for the past eight years. She has been dedicated to the students and faculty of Dixie High, and is looking forward to the opportunity to lead this historic school. She considers herself to be a true Flyer! Sharla and her husband, Kim Campbell, are the parents of three children and enjoy three little granddaughters.
